The Red Room: A party atmosphere place for great music and food

May 23, 2010

This upscale Broad Ripple establishment has a relaxing yet energetic feel to it. Once inside The Red Room, the contemporary yet traditional setting hits you, with its black and chrome furnishings and striking red walls.

The Red Room consists of two bars -- the main stylish bar extending out into the lounge area complete with a large dance floor and surrounded with engaging seating areas. There is also a back room plus a bar with additional seating, an area that gets less crowded on busy nights.

A balcony provides a stunning view of the Broad Ripple streets, and oversized windows allow great views of the neighborhood from the inside. The Red Room also features an outdoor garden patio area.

The dance floor is vast but the Naptown crowd still gets shoulder to shoulder on the weekends. The dance music ranges from hip hop to main-stream techno.

A small selection of Red Room appetizers provides a perfect complement for a night of partying. Try the Artichoke Dip – Hot, Fresh Artichoke dip served with slices of toasted French baguettes, or the Chinese 5 spice chicken skewers – Grilled Chicken Breast Strips marinated in Chinese 5 spices, soy, sesame oil and ginger. The Shrimp Cocktail is a winner with five large shrimp and a fiery cocktail sauce or a mild sauce if requested.

A popular night at The Red Room is Wednesday’s Pure Salsa night. Hosted by DJ Shawn Juan, dance lessons are available and you could easily find yourself indulging in the Salsa, Merengue, Bachata or the Cha Cha Cha.

The Red Room is available for private hire and is a perfect spot for bachelor and bachelorette parties, birthday parties, wedding receptions, and professional group mixers.

Friday nights are typically Ladies Nights with free admission and discounts on beer and mixed drinks.

HelloMetro Tip: The Red Room takes table reservations if required.
