Museum of Miniature Houses Ninth Annual Sale: Mini houses in abundance!
Published: Aug 31, 2009
Everyone has a hobby, right? If yours happens to be miniature houses, and you’re in Indianapolis Sept. 18 and 19, you’re in luck! The Carmel, Ind.-based Museum of Miniature Houses holds its Ninth Annual Dollhouse Miniatures Show and Sale at St. Lukes Methodist Church in north Indy.
Miniature enthusiasts can view or enter the exhibit competition. There will be make-it-and-take-it projects, workshops and demonstrations, a silent auction, as well as dealers of miniature products. All proceeds benefit the Museum of Miniature Houses and other Collections, Inc., a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 corporation.
Admission is $7 for adults ($6 for Museum members), $4 for children age 6 to 12 and that admission price is good for both days.
Visitors are also encouraged to explore the gift shop up the street in Carmel, which offers fine and unusual miniatures, books and periodicals about miniatures and dollhouses. Visiting children can play the Museum Treasure-Hunt Game.
The Museum of Miniature Houses is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1991 by Suzanne Moffett, Suzanne Landshof and Nancy Lesh. It is a member of the American Association of Museums and the Association of Indiana Museums. To contact the museum, send email to info@museumofminiatures.org or phone (317) 575-9466.
