Le Peep RestaurantCastleton, just north of Indianapolis, hosted the first Le Peep restaurant in 1988. Since then, Le Peep has gone from strength to strength under the supervision of President, Bill Eckrich. Le Peep proudly claims to attract a higher level of consumer and quality staff. Let’s get to the menu, which is enormous. The section called “Yummy Starters” kicks off your appetite with the Gooey Bun – an English Muffin broiled with cinnamon, brown sugar and almonds, served with cream cheese and Mom’s Sassy Apples. Maybe try the Fruit Crepes – fresh fruit wrapped inside a light crepe and covered with strawberry yoghurt and powdered sugar. The classic Eggs Benedict is also available – poached eggs and seared ham, served on an English muffin and smothered in creamy Hollandaise. This is served with Peasant Potatoes. Design your own omelette or sample one of their own wonderful signature omelettes like the Mount Olympus, with fresh asparagus, tomato, onion and spinach with crumbled Feta Cheese. The most popular section of Le Peep’s menu is the Panhandled Skillet Dishes. All dishes are served with an English Muffin, toast or fresh fruit. Try the Gypsy – Peasant Potatoes, lean ham, fresh mushrooms and onions covered with melted jack and cheddar cheese and two basted eggs. If you are eating a little later in the day, pick a selection from Le Peep’s Garden. Try the Chinese Chicken Salad – romaine and iceberg lettuce, rice noodles, toasted almonds, sesame seeds and chives tippled with slices of marinated breast of chicken and tossed with a Honey-Ginger dressing.
