Marco’s Restaurant & Lounge: A fusion of romance and good cuisine

Apr 6, 2010

Marco's Restaurant & Lounge's older building features lots of dark wood and plenty of ambient lighting for an exquisite night. The outdoor patio is first-class and carefully secluded from the road with lush vines and plenty of thick greenery.

The menu at Marco’s is varied. The dishes are so large that you may want to consider sharing an entrée or even forego an appetizer altogether. The majority of dishes are accompanied with three courses including soup, salad and crusty bread.

In the Appetizer section, start off with the Stuffed Eggplant Rolls – Fresh sliced eggplant stuffed with feta cheese and fresh basil, baked with marinara sauce and crumbled feta. Or have the Pestioli – fried spinach and cheese ravioli with creamy pesto, parmesan, and melted Mozzarella.

The entrees are just as impressive and feature traditional Italian dishes like the Spaghetti Carbonara with green peas, ham and shallots in a cream sauce. A popular dish at Marco’s is the Chicken Marsala – Chicken breast sautéed with mushrooms in a light Marsala wine cream sauce.

Of course, an Italian menu wouldn’t be the same without a selection of Pizzas. From their Bistro section, have the thin crust Greek Pizza with Calamata Olives, feta cheese, fresh spinach, and red onion.

Marco’s features a fully stocked bar and offers a great selection of wines and spirits. Visit their Facebook page to keep up on the wine specials.

Marco’s remains a perfect place to enjoy good Italian food and a pleasant night under the stars.

HelloIndianapolis Tip: For a great deal, you can’t beat the Filet Special on a Tuesday night. A popular attraction at Marco’s, make sure you get there early or call ahead for a reservation.
