Greek Islands Restaurant: traditional cuisine with a Hoosier twist

Serving up traditional Greek cuisine just a hop, skip and jump from downtown Indianapolis, Greek Islands Restaurant has been wowing customers with a unique mix of fantastic food and authentic belly dancing since 1987.

Owned and operated by expert Greek chef Angela Stergiopoulos, Greek Islands combines the best of Grecian culture with true Hoosier hospitality. And the prices are genuinely affordable: Lunch platters run from $5.75 to $9.25, and lunch is served until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

All menu items are available for carry out. If you call ahead, your order will be ready when you arrive.

Eighteen dinner entrees range from the traditional Gyros at $12.50 to the unforgettable “Korinthian Special” ($23.95)  – specially prepared lamb chops broiled in a unique seasoning created by Angela’s parents, who originally helped train her.

Top off this amazing dinner with one of two original Greeks Islands desserts: homemade Rizogallo, a traditional rice pudding seasoned lightly with cinnamon; or Galactobouriko, which sounds a little like you might encounter on the Starship Enterprise, but in reality is a Phyllo pastry filled with our homemade custard and smothered in light syrup.

On Friday and Saturday nights, guests enjoy authentic belly dancing, too! Angela will even take pictures of the belly dancer with your family
