With a mixed clientele, you can put your feet up and relax in a comfy chair at Henry’s on East while being a part of the urban crowd within the Mass Avenue District. A firm supporter of the arts, Henry’s on East features Hoosier artwork and is one of the hosts of the Visual Fringe. Primarily known for some killer homemade desserts and coffee, the weekend brunch is becoming a neighborhood favorite. On Saturday and Sunday, indulge yourself with a coffee and a Multi-Grain Belgium Waffle freshly-made from multi-grain batter and topped with cinnamon butter and seasonal berries. Or perhaps try the Breakfast Burrito with eggs, sausage, pico di gallo and cheese wrapped in a spinach tortilla. The Quiche of the Day option changes every week. Their menu features a hefty selection of hot Panini’s that are served on Vienna bread. The Pesto Chicken Panini is made with chicken breast, provolone, red peppers and pesto aioli, while the California Turkey comes loaded with turkey, Swiss cheese, tomato, sprouts, avocado and aioli. Cold sandwiches are also available. Salads are fresh and can be made to order. Try the Lime Cilantro Chicken with romaine, chicken, cheddar, red peppers, onion, tomatoes and cilantro dressing. The Chef Salad comes with romaine, ham, turkey, cheddar, Swiss cheese, tomatoes, onion and croutons. The portions are more than adequate, the prices are very reasonable, while the muffins are just plain addictive. In particular, their Sunshine Muffins and Cranberry Muffins are fresh, tasty and tremendously popular. HelloIndianapolis Tip: Free wi-fi is available for all customers.
