Baptist Academy Reviews

Our children have been at the school for 2+ years and have excelled as they have outstanding grades and score extremely high on the SAT10 and ISTEP. The teachers are excellent and view their work as a ministry. Classes targeted for gifted/talented students and a stronger vision for the future of the school would add to quality of the education.

I have been teaching at Baptist Academy for a number of years, and I LOVE teaching there! Sure, there are 'problems'...but anywhere you go, there are problems. We live in an imperfect world. I must say that our staff and administration are always seeking to do the best we can, and we strive to be pleasing to the Lord Jesus Christ, above all. Our hearts desire at BA is to give each student a top-notch, christian, education and to reach them for Christ. We desire for every one of them to succeed in life. I know we aren't perfect. However, we are striving for the excellency of the gospel of Christ. At least, we know we are forgiven by Him. Give us a try!

The teachers at BA are extremely dedicated and caring individuals. Often they go above what is expected to ensure that a child grows spiritually, mentally, and academically. Academic subjects are somewhat limited, as are subjects in the arts. Sports and extracurricular events are highly stressed, sometimes to the detriment of the students, as cliques are formed and often encouraged by faculty. Spiritual leadership is strong and focused, if somewhat biased and narrow-minded. Parental involvement is highly-prioritized.

I attended B.A. for a couple of years till i moved out of state. It was a great experience and a ton of fun. Everyone there is so nice to you.

My son is in k5 and prior to b.A. He was at a private sitter, since aug. Of 2004 he has learned so much, its amazing. He is learning about god which is great. He is in a disciplined atmosphere which i believe young children need to be able to survive in this day and age. The teachers are truly concerned about our children and their welfare. They take the time to make sure our children get what they need to succeed to the next level of education instead of just pushing them through to the next grade without making sure they have conquered their goals to succeed. I would be happy to tell any parent that this school is what our children need for guidance and the right path for life. Great job baptist academy!

This school is a very high pressure environment for young children. While my kindergartner did learn how to read, he also developed a series of 'nervous' habits that we are still trying to correct. If you are looking for an iron fist to train up your child this is the place for you, if not: search elsewhere.

I have two grandchildren who have attended BA since K4. They are now in 5th and 9th grade. I think it is the best school in Indianapolis. I love their Curriculum, and the teachers are awesome. They go all out for the children. They know each student, their problems, and try to help them every way they can. If they miss a day or test, it has to be made up and not forgotten. Yes, they are strict, and I know that builds character. They teach children about God, and to be honest, and follow God's rules. Keep up the good work BA! Grandma Betty 2005

I have two children that attebd BA, my husband and I both are very happy with the school. Our children are in the K5 and the 1st grade. I worked on the PTF for a year and I learned so much in that year. You realize just how much those teachers do for such little pay. I am thankful for the teachers and the staff at BA. They care for each child. They all have a heart of Gold, and for Christ. My son has had some trouble understanding a few things, his teacher works with him and helped him understand. His report card this semester was awesome, spelling up 8pts and Math up 7pts. Thank you BA staff. Extracurricular act. Cheerleading for kids K and up (K-3rd grade on Sat.)Basketball same. Baseball, and Soccer.

I was a student at B.A from grades pre k to 4th and I hated every moment I was inside that building. The teachers are sexist, boys have much more freedom than girls. Girls are not allowed to wear blue jeans because 'God doesn't like it' please give me a break. I felt as if I was being suffocated. If we spoke our opinions we would get in trouble for not agreeing with them I am now in an aweosme middle school and I am happier than I have ever been. In my public school the teachers care for me, they discipline us without supressing us. I wish my time at B.A was happier. We were not allowed to read Harry Potter because 'it is the work of the devil' I strongly disagree. I have turned away from God because of the suppresion. Thank you, BA for ruining my life.

My 2 boys go to B.A. They are in 3 and 5 and they are very well mannered and committed to learning their lessons. This is all credited to the teachers at B.A. They are great and they push the kids to do thier best. They dont let them get bored or play around. If they do not comprehend something then they offer help class after school. I would not send my children any where else!

My two children have been enrolled in B.A. since kindergarden- they are now in grades 4 + 5. The teachers are wonderful christian leaders and feel like family. The classes are small, and very well planned. The children are disciplined as needed, but not suppressed. The parents are very involved and committed to each child's success in academics. B.A. is the best school in Indianapolis!
