Indiana School for the Blind Reviews

This is a wonderful school and I'm constantly amazed at how in depth the staff is in teaching the kids. My daughter has gone there for 8 years (since preschool) so we've gotten to know many of the staff.....they are wonderful, caring people. Almost like family.

The Indiana School For The Blind is an Excellent School and it deserves all of the resources possible to increase the education of the students and not only to teach them about life but also how to make a living and become independent. Current teachers need to be reviewed and if necessary replaced with others who will ensure that the students are receiving the very best education possible. This wonderful institution does not deserve the failing ratings that have been reported on in 2009.

the school is okay if you did not have to live there but the dorm life is not that great. the students don't have very much indepednance.

My son loves it and I've been very happy with the education he has been receiving.

The Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired has a strong history of providing quality services and supports to Indiana's students who are blind or visually impaired. The faculty and staff are dedicated to providing quality opportunities to students, both in and out of the classroom. My experience and the experiences of the parents who have children enrolled at the school have been nothing but positive. The school staff goes the extra mile to ensure the health, safety and welfare of all of the students.

Quality has been declinging over the years. Many problems in residential services with a lack of leadership and negligence in care of children.
