Arlington High School Reviews

I would never send my child to this school. I graduated from Arlington and my experience was horrible. I then had to send my child there due to being in the district. My daughter's grades dropped. She went from A's and B's to D's and F's. I have tried to take her out several times but I am not getting any cooperation from the school.

Arlingtn is a wnderful high school. It provides a number of diffrent opportunities for your child. It has four small learning cmmunities to fit your child intrests, college prepatory excelerated, or CPA, focuses on academics and prepares you child for college, Science and Technology focuses on science and computers, Health and engineering is where are future doctors and nurses are, and fine arts, where a child can work on a career as an artist, including music. There are many extracurricular activities also. There is a music club, drama club, ROTC activities such as rifel team or Raiders. There are als many Sports, football, basket ball, baseball, softball, track an many more. Parents can also be realy involved. they have seurity dads, which are dads volunteering to watch the students and parents can also check their students grades anf status online. Arlington is a very wonderful school

I am a sophomore at Arlington, and I think it is the best school for Minorities of Indianapolis. We are exceppted for who we are.

I would not send, and/or recommend any student to go to this school. My child went there and it was the worst experience we as parent have ever come in contact with. Tried talking with the principals about issues that were very concerning she was very attentive, but nothing was done to resolve the issues that we address. Our child has always been a honor role student before attending Arlington, but after one year there, his grades dropped like a bird dropping out of the sky. We as parent address some of the teachers grading and teaching style with the educators involved and what came out of that meeting was appalling. We since have moved our child to a different school and once again he is on high honor role with colleges sending us letters monthly wanting this student to attend there university. This was our experience if you feel brave take the plunge and try your child there. I would not recommend this. Sincerely, A Concerned Parent

The school is a great learning environment for students especially to ge the mulitcultural experience. At this school students definitely learn how to deal with all different types of people. The principal is well rounded and the teachers are dedicated. The only thing that pulls this school down is the lack of parent involvement. Schools are not just the state's issue but it is also a community and home issue. Therefore I challenge everybody to try to get more involved with Arlington even if you don't have a student there you can still make a change and a diffrence.

Principal Greenwood displays a wonderful attitude towards students and parents, and creates a positive attitude in the school. Most of the Teachers seem to be dedicated and display the attitude of the Principal. However, the classes are grossly over-crowed creating several learning problems for the students and teaching problems for the Teachers.
